Upper Rankollie Land Declaration Ceremony

Upper Rankollie Community Clan is located in the upper end of Rankollie administrative district in in the Kissi Chiefdom, Lofa County. This community is geographic bounded in the north by Lower Wuam Community and the Republic of Guinea, in the south by central Rankollie Community, in the east by lower Wuam Community and the west by Upper Tenglah Community. Two sections make up this community: Weyesay and Bukusu, eight zones and forty three towns. Upper Rankollie has 12, 974 residents including women and children.

On October 30, 2019, for the first time in the life of this community, chiefs and elders, men and women groups and other local authorities congregated to affix their signature to a document, claiming their ownership over Upper Rankollie. The occasion was graced by Social Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Development who, with support from the European Union, has helped in successfully completing all stages of the boundary harmonization process.
